Intro to the Ortho Injury Clinic
Conditions We Treat
Orthopedic injuries in your bones, muscles, and joints can strike at any time. We treat patients whose injury or pain is less than six weeks old. We treat these types of injuries:
- Bumps and bruises
- Dislocations
- Fractures
- Sprains
- Strains
- Other orthopedic pain that needs immediate care or won't go away
We do not treat concussions, lacerations (cuts), chronic medical conditions, worker's compensation, and neck injuries related to falls or car accidents. (For neck injuries seek emergency care.) We also do not offer follow-up visits. Our clinic does not have access to on-site pain or other medication.
Your visit will be with a sports medicine specialist. At the end of your visit, our specialists will help you schedule follow-up care at the University Orthopaedic Center.
We cannot treat children under the age of five.
Convenient Care
Our orthopedic specialists provide convenient care with short wait times. Unlike an expensive visit to the emergency room, your visit will be billed as a specialty clinic visit.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding your insurance coverage for a specialty clinic visit including services provided, such as casting, splinting, injections, please contact your insurance.
If you have a life-threatening injury, go to the emergency room.
